The Jreissati Pancreatic Centre has entered a new chapter with the opening of its dedicated premises at 19 Erin Street, Richmond. This purpose-built space supports patients and families while advancing research, clinical trials and collaboration.

More than just a building, the Centre reflects a shared commitment to improving outcomes for one of the most challenging cancers. Located away from the main hospital, it offers a calm and welcoming environment where patients can meet with our specialist pancreatic nurse team, ask questions and receive personalised care. The space has been designed to provide comfort, privacy and support during what can be a difficult and uncertain time.

The new Centre at 19 Erin Street also marks a permanent home for our growing team of researchers and clinicians. Since its establishment in 2021, the Jreissati Pancreatic Centre has grown into a national leader in pancreatic cancer research, early detection programs and investigator-led studies. The facility brings together staff, collaborators and partners under one roof and strengthens our ability to work together on meaningful change.

Every room in the Centre reflects the generosity of our supporters. From the calming Tat Cork Family Lounge to the James & Ellen Lew Nurse Suite, the Ken Turnham Research Hub and the Viridian Foundation Meeting Room, these spaces have been made possible by individuals and organisations who share our vision for a better future.

The opening coincided with World Pancreatic Cancer Day, a poignant reminder of why this work matters. To mark the occasion, 19 Erin Street was lit in purple, a powerful symbol of our commitment to changing the trajectory of this disease.

This new home represents hope, progress and possibility. It strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional care, accelerate research and provide support to those who need it most.

Together with the generosity of our donors and partners, we are building a future where pancreatic cancer outcomes can and will improve.
