Our vision:
Leading the research for early diagnosis and treatment options to improve survival for people living with pancreatic cancer.
There has been little improvement in outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer over the past 40 years. This is because it hasn’t received the same level of research funding as many other cancers.
The Jreissati Pancreatic Centre at Epworth is the only specialist centre in Australia exclusively dedicated to pancreatic disease. We put 100% of our funding straight into research and clinical care.
Our mission is built on four foundational pillars:

Our specialised multidisciplinary team, centrally located within our centre and hospital network, is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and improving outcomes for patients living with pancreatic cancer.
Patient experience and advocacy
We empower patients and their families with a unified voice, seamless access to care, and dedicated pancreatic nurse support to navigate diagnosis, treatment, and education for the best possible outcomes.
Research
Our Centre drives pioneering pancreatic cancer research and clinical trials across all phases of diagnosis, treatment, and care, expanding Australia’s research capacity and offering patients at any cancer stage greater treatment options.
Community engagement and education
We are committed to reducing delays in pancreatic cancer diagnosis by raising awareness of risk factors and early symptoms, creating educational resources, and engaging with the community to improve understanding and promote timely diagnostic pathways.
