Pancreatic nurses

Once referred to the centre, you will meet one of our pancreatic nurses. They are your first point of contact relating to your care at Epworth and will be able to answer any questions that you or your family may have. Your pancreatic nurse  works closely with your treating doctor to help guide you through your treatment and recovery.

Dietitians

Nutrition plays a vital role in pancreatic cancer care. Our dietetics team provides a comprehensive range of nutritional services to inpatients and outpatients, as well as educational support for you, your family and carers. Dietitians are available for nutrition consults, including assessment, management recommendations, implementation of therapeutic diets and nutrition support, nutritional counselling and education.

Wig salon

The Wig Salon is a free wig consultation service staffed by trained volunteers and provides a supportive and friendly salon-style environment for cancer patients. With the help of our friendly and supportive volunteers, the Wig Salon offers complimentary, private, compassionate consultation services to cancer patients during their treatment. A personalised product bag is provided for each patient, containing their choice of wig, silk scarf, bamboo night cap, turban, hairnet, baby shampoo and wig brush.
